Red "X"...no photo

Recently I inserted my camera XP card into my computer and proceded to CUT
and paste a bunch of pictures into a My Pictures folder. Once it was
complete, many of the pictures have a red "X" and I cannot seem to preview or
open any of them. Of course- I used "CUT" instead of Copy and now they are
off of my media card now. It seems that they might be downloaded somehow-
each has a file name and a different MB quantity. Is there anyway I can
restore the images? Or does the "X" mean it is a lost cause?!
Help, please!

Maybe the following free software can
recover the files from your memory card:

Recuva - File Recovery

Recover lost files with Recuva
http://www.vista4beginners.com/recuva
