red x through drive letter

i have 1 win2k sp3 workstation that all of the mapped
drive letters have a red x thru them. i reviewed kb 138365
and kb 297684 and the registry entries are set to what the
articles say they should be. i used the net config command
to set autodisconnect to -1 and it still shows the drives
offline.

i can see the drives by clicking on them in explorer, but
i can't save any data to these mapped drives. i get the
drive can't be mapped, resource in use error when trying
to save data.

does anyone have any other ideas?

Michael,
In your login script, do you delete the drive mappings, then recreate them?
I ran across the same problem when I didn't do it.

net use H: /delete
net use H: \\server\share

Another cause might be problems with your switch. I ran into this on one of
my 3com 3300 switches, and I needed to update the firmware to fix it.
