Would someone(s) here look at this
http://webpages.charter.net/rmwykoff/confusion.jpg
and tell me what the red thingies are?

They look like conflicts in 98 but this is 2000 and I just need to be
directed in the correct direction to find what to do about these. I am just
learning 2000.

I have a Sandisk card reader and this is what the red thingies seem to be
pointing to. I am also having problems with the card not being accessable
untill after a reboot. I think this may be connected.

Thanks.

I've seen them associated with USB devices and they usually indicate
a device or driver error.
Open the device manager to see more information.

Device manager is not showing any problems at all.

Have you tried selecting view/"show hidden devices"
and also viewing the device manager in safe mode?
Sometimes USB has problems and other incarnations of the device get installed.
For example, with my Epson printer, in settings/printer/ I have
"epson 860" and also "Epson 860 copy 2".
Sometimes the original prints, sometimes copy 2 is the one that's
working ! Never got to the bottom of it.
