Red "X" instead of the image/picture that is supposed to show

Could someone please help with this. I have tried
everything I can think of to get the image but all I get
is the box with a red "X" in the upper left hand corner.
I believe the image is a gif file but not sure. somewhere
within Windows I believe there is an answer.

Did "everything" include emptying your Temporary Internet Files folder ? If
not, Open IE, then go to Tools>Internet Options...>General tab. Click on
"Delete Files..." button in second section.
