RED "X" - incoming e-mail only and only for my signature .jpg

This red x in place of my signature started about a week ago - on incoming
mails from myself, sent items, and replies to my e-mails. Opening a new
e-mail is fine, and shows my signature .jpg. Internet settings "Automatic
picture download settings" have no checkmarks (allowing pitures), and it if I
run Outlook in SAFE mode, everything is FINE. I have recreated my profile, I
have run hotfix 895948. It only happens on one of my PC's. Anyone know
what's happening?

I finally found something that worked - after reading everything on this
message board about red x. Don at helpdesk had the answer although why this
suddenly happened when I keep my temp internet folders cleaned out is beyond
me. I'm just glad to have found the solution.

Try these steps. It worked for me.

1. Locate the Outlook Temporary Items folder by opening the Registry and
locating
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security\OutlookSecureTempFolder
2. Navigate to the value of this Key. It should be something like:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK3D\ where OLK3D is
some randomly generated string that always starts with OLK
3. Quit Outlook
4. Delete the contents of the folder
5. Launch Outlook
