Red Tint When Playing Games

G

google

I have a problem with my PC, it seams fine when in windows but whenever
I start a game the game plays ok put the screen flickers between normal
and having a red tint on it. It seems to happen in all games even ones
which are a few years old.

I have updated my motherboard drivers and graphics drivers but still no
joy.

Any ideas? I suspect the card is broken but I dont know.

Thanks

Phil

No, the problem is almost certainly in the monitor or video
cable, most likely the latter (esp. at the connectors - flex
the cable a bit at either end to see if this affects the image).
If not the cable, then this is probably within the monitor -
you didn't mention if the monitor in question is a CRT or
LCD, but if CRT this points to a flaky internal connection,
a failing video amp board, or possibly a problem with the
CRT itself.

UNLESS, of course, it really is the case that everything is
always and forever good in Windows but not in your game,
in which case you can ignore the above...

Yes it does only appear in games, I have tried it on 3 different
monitors all with the same result. Oh well I'll get a new card I guess.
