recylcle bin

Microst's spyware is doing a fine job. However, when I
try to empty recycle bin, it always states do you want to
delete these eight items.

It appears to a novice that my recycle bin is corrupt and
I cannot rid my self of unwanted files/folders/programs.
Help!!

The prompt is to be expected, i.e. it's suppose to ask for confirmation
before emptying. Are you stating that the Recycle Bin will not empty if
you click Yes ?
