Recycler

In Explore I see that in my C:\ directory I have sub-directories called
Recycler and another called System Volume Information. The latter, has zero
folders and zero bytes in it yet neither can be deleted.

To educate The Baba please, what are these files and how essential are
they?

Recycler is your Recycled bin.

System Volume Information is ... er ... system volume information.

Both are required system folders.
