I have two folders in my directory, both named Recycler. Are these
legitimate Windows folders or something else please?

Legitimate. They are recycle bins.

The Recycler folder is used only on NTFS partitions.

Thank you both for your information. I had seen on a forum where the
Recycler folders were created by a Trojan and I wanted to verify it before I
did something else silly.
