recycler dir on each partition

What are the files in here for? When I delete files in the global recycle
bin the files in the drive:\recycler stay.

folder.

Security identifiers (SIDs) are numeric values that identify a user or
group.

If you want to use the same Recycle Bin settings for all drives, click Use
one setting for all drives.

Right click Recycle bin | Properties | Use one setting for all drives |
Apply | OK

Do you have Norton Protected Recycle Bin?

Because you have a Norton Protected Recycle Bin not a Windows XP Recycle
Bin.

Nprotect is part of Norton Utilities. (It replaces the default recycle
bin.) It prevents the user from accidentally deleting data from the PC and
Recycle Bin. Adds an extra layer of safety before you remove deleted files
from the Recycled Bin.

Ask Norton/Symantec.
