recycle bin

Hello All....

first time i am here...general question....when i delete
items to my recycle bin, there are times when i go to the
bin to review what is there.....they are not
visible....the bin is empty??

at other times, if i delete a file [a photo for example,
i go to the bin, and they are visible??

Any idea why items are sometimes visible and sometimes
not?

Some items/files do not go to recycle bin...they just
delete.

Hi, Ron.

One possibility - from the Help and Support File, Search for "recycle bin":

Important
a.. A deleted item that is larger than the storage capacity of the Recycle
Bin will not be saved. It will be permanently deleted.

Could that be the problem in your case, Ron? You can change the size of the
bin. The Help and Support file tells how to do it. Lots of info in the H&S
file in WinXP. ;<)

If you delete a file from a program's dialog box, it will not show up in
the Recycle Bin. If you rely on the Bin as a safety net, do not delete
files via these dialogs. Instead, use a different tool such as Windows
Explorer or My Computer.

Files deleted from removable media (floppy disk, for example) will not show
up in the Bin either.
