Recycle Bin

I can't find my recycle bin. I just started using XP
Office. On 98 I always had an icon ot the desktop for
the Recycle Bin. How do I empty the bin?
Thanks,
John

Should be there; same icon. If you can't find it try
installing TweakUI powertoy for XP. This will let you
hide or unhide the default desktop icons.

Forget Tweak U I . It's a piece of crap programming that only clutters your system up with another program that only does what you can already do with the tools in XP. This is like adding an extra engine to your car just because you don't know how to turn the first one on. lol lol. Go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and look at line 64 on the right side. Simply double click to initiate the fix. Good luck.

Nonsense. It's a very useful tool. Although it doesn't do
anything that can't be done without it, using it when you can
instead of Regedit is both easier and safer.

No, it's like getting where you're going with a car instead of
walking. The tool (the car) makes it much easier than using the
manual method.

Oh thats a good suggestion, instead of using a GUI that lets you switch off
and on behaviours or features, just install registry tweaks you probably
dont understand and have no idea how to switch off. I'm surprised you dont
suggest he goes back to DOS and run batch files instead

Thank you all for the moral support. When I saw that
crushing review of sound advice I almost started to cry.
