Recycle Bin

I empty my Recycle Bin everyday, sometimes several times during the day.
Fairly often, like every 4 or 5 times, when I open my Recycle Bin many of
the items I had previously deleted have reappeared. No big deal but it is
annoying. Any ideas?

Thanks for the solution but how do I do that without getting rid of
Norton AntiVirus?

You don't need to get rid of NAV. To disable the Norton Protected
Recycle Bin, right-click on the Recycle Bin on your Desktop and then
left-click on Properties. You'll see options for the Norton Protected
Bin there. There are probably also options for this in the main Norton
program itself.

That would be a good thing to do as well. There are good free or low cost
alternatives that are much easier on system resources and less problematic.

When I open Properties all I get is Global & Local Disk C tabs. They just
let me vary the amount of space allotted to the Recycle Bin. There is no
mention of the Protected Recycle Bin.

Well, perhaps you don't have the Norton Protected Recycle Bin! You are
the one looking at your computer, not me. Your previous reply to "cs"
seemed to indicate that you do. Go to MVP Kelly Theriot's site here:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm

Click on "R" and scroll down to the Recycle Bin section. See if anything
there applies to you.

Thanks for the link.I don't know that I have the Norton Protected Recycle
Bin---maybe not from what you say. Other posters assumed I do have it
because of the behaviour I am experiencing but perhaps I don't.
