Recycle Bin Problem, Please Help

I am using XP home on SP1 and my recycle bin does not work, if i delete a
file it does not show up in the RB even if i drag and drop it to the RB

I have lookied at the properties of the RB and `Do not move files to the
recycle bin is UNTICKED

Can anyone help?
