Recurring Tasks

I regularly assign tasks to other people in our office.

Someone to whom I've assigned a task wishes to change the recurrence rate,
i.e., once per month, instead of twice per month.

I cannot find any help on this topic!!

HELP!!

Have they tried to Accept the Task, then open it and Edit it? You cannot
edit it as you are not the Owner.

Yes, she has accepted the task...and, after about 1 month, she realized she
does not need to perform this task every 2 weeks. Yes, I gave up ownership
when I assigned the task to her. But, even she - the owner of the task - has
no options to modify the recurrence. She can either skip an occurrence or
stop it. No ability to modify it.

Thanks for your input, Judy

You just changed the question. She can edit the recurrence (and that's what
you asked).

To change one or more instances of the Recurring Task there are 2 options:

She can either open 1 instance and modify it, or open the series and modify
it.

If you want irregular recurrences, Outlook will not do it.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

Hi Judy,

I appreciate you taking the time to help me with this!

The problem is she, not I, can not edit the recurrence. There is no option
to edit it.

I've tried taking a screen shot (at her computer) to show you what the
options are but the shot doesn't capture the entire thing.

If you could tell me exactly how this is done, I would very much appreciate
it. At this point, it looks like the only way around this issue is for her
to delete the task all together, then I would re-create it with the different
recurrence and once again assign it to her.

Thanks

that sounds like the solution. Sorry not to have a true solution - but
things do just go wrong with outlook sometimes (often).

Thanks Judy. Hopefully, Microsoft will address that issue. If you have
assigned a task to someone, they don't truly have "ownership" if they are
unable customize the recurrence. Yeah, Outlook ain't perfect...

Thanks again.
