Recurring resource booking

Rob

Hi,
We are having problem with Recurring resource booking.
when we try to book a resource as Recurring, we will get
this error message:
"Resource" has declined your meeting because it is a
Recurring, you must book each meeting separately with this
resource.

I checked the Microsoft knowledge based , but the only
article I found says "this error because of an online
booking" which it isnt and we simply try to book through
our local LAN.

We use a single exchange server with OL2000 as clients in
a single domain.

Any idea how I can fix this problem?

Thanks in advance-Rob

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your posting here.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for posting here.

If I understand correctly, when you create a recurring appointment for a
resource account and you receive the error message saying "<resource> has
declined your meeting because it is recurring. you must book each meeting
separately with this resource." If I have misunderstood your concern,
please let me know.

Based on my research, you might try the following steps troubleshooting:

1> Are you using Microsoft Exchange Conferencing? If so, please check with
the following knowledge base articles as they describe similar symptom:

817420 OL2002: Error Message: "Resource Has Declined Your Meeting Because
It Is
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=817420

819433 OL2000: Error Message: "Resource Has Declined Your Meeting Because
it Is
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=819433

2> If you are not using Microsoft Exchange Conferencing, the issue might
occur if Resource scheduling property on resource account is improperly
marked. Please perform the following steps to fix it:

a) Start Outlook using the new resource account to create the default
folders in the mailbox on the server.
b) On the Tools menu, click Options.
c) Click Calendar Options and then click Resource Scheduling.
d) Clear the check box for Automatically decline recurring meeting requests.
e) OK out of all dialog boxes and quit Outlook.

==========

If you have any further concern, please reply in another post, and Kun will
be glad to help you.
