Booking a Resource for a recurring meeting

I have created our meeting rooms as resources. However, when we attempt to book the room (inviting the resource in the attendee screen) it returns an error saying that the meeting room could not be booked due to it being a recurring meeting, and that the room would need to be booked invidually.

Has anyone successfully managed to book a resourse for a recurring meeting? If so, can you please advise if there is anything that needs to be set up in the individual resourse that will alloow it to accept recurring meetings.
