Recurring reminders for tasks

L

Leslie

Hi -

I can create recurring tasks no problem, but I only get
reminded on the first occurrence. Then the reminder
button gets turned off. If I put it back on, I get
reminded the next time, but it shows up as overdue. Any
idea how to have the reminder reset itself as the task
recurrs?

Thanks,
Leslie

If you mark the current occurence of the task complete or click Skip
Occurrence (on the Actions menu on the task form) instead of simply
dismissing the reminder, you should get the next occurrence of the task with
the appropriate reminder set on it.

Is there a way of this all happening automatically. I want a reminder to pop
up at 10.30am and 2.30pm every week day without me having to remember to
reset things after each one. It may not be possible but here's hoping!

Thanks

If you want to be reminded daily I think you also complete it daily? When
completed dismiss the reminder and your will be remembered on the next
occurance. Works great for me to remind me of changing backup tapes, filling
in my hours, check logs, etc...

Thanks for that. Perhaps I wasn't 'dismissing' it correctly. I'll try again
when I get to work tomorrow morning.

Mark it complete and the next reminder in the task series should
automatically regenerate.
