recurring reminder

I need to setup a recurring reminder for certain users. I can do it by
sending a meeting request to those users. I wonder if there is a different
way of doing that so the users automatically get this reminder in their
Calendar's without opening up a Meeting Request?

Reminders are only generated in calendars by appointment/event items. You
could always use Windows scheduler to set reminder sounds that would skip
the calendar.

If you tell us what is your intent, it is usually easier to help than if you
