recurring items

when trying to open a recurring item I receive the following message box:
Can't open this item. The messaging interface has returned an unknown error.
If problem persists restart Outlook.

Restarted Outlook, but no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanx!
 
You didn't say what version of Outlook you're running, but I've seen that
with Outlook 2003, esp where the recurring appointment was created in an
earlier version of Outlook.

I heard about a fix where they suggested copying the appt out into an email,
then emailing the appointment to yourself and re-adding it to the calendar,
but that didn't help me any. I ended up having to delete and recreate
several recurring appointments to get rid of it.
