Hi

I have used Powerpoint 2003 extensively previously but with my change
to Vista I also migrated to Powerpoint 2007. My problem here is now
this:

When I want to draw a plain old rectangle (not a textbox) everything
works fine. Then when I drag on its edges to resize it, then it
behaves like a textbox in that I can only choose the width and it
always selects its own hight according to the font size it expects??

Apparently, if I open PP2007 and start from scratch this behavior is
not seen, then everything works as I would have expected. It is when I
oped an old presentation made in PP2003 that I have this annoying
problem?

What to do ??

Rightclick the text box and choose Format.
Look at the options under Text Box.
Make sure AutoFit is set to Do Not Autofit.

Then rightclick again and choose Size and Position
Make sure that Aspect Ratio isn't locked
