recovery

I have had to perform a recovery on my pc, thus got it working again. The
only problem is that I had a password on my user id. The recovery has saved
all my files in a directory called old disc stucture. My personal documents
that used to be protected by my password, I can no longer access as I had to
make a new login name. How can I now retrieve these files. I am the
administrator on the computer as it is my own home pc!
