after installing windows XP service pack 2 i can't install recovery console

Hi

That's because you are probably trying to install the RC from a CD with a
previous version of XP on it. You can create a slipstreamed SP2 CD and then
install the Recovery Console:

You can download the SP2 file (266 MBs) from here:

or if you have a copy of the SP2 CD, you can copy the xpsp2.exe file from
that CD onto your hard disk/partition and use that:
