Hello everyone,

Is there a way to uninstall the recovery console from the HD, or at a least
to make the boot menu selection
(1: Win Xp Pro, 2: Recovery Console, Time left: A lot of...) disappear?

Thanks

start, run, msconfig, boot.ini tab .. change the timeout setting to
something suitably small. If you really want to delete it, just zap the
directory off the hard disk, run msconfig as above, 'check all paths',
and then let it delete the recovery console path (which it will discover
now points nowhere).
