Recovery console language - update

A few days ago I asked how to change the default recovery console keyboard
mapping from French to English. (Though I use a French Win2k, I prefer the
US keyboard).

I worked out this "solution": I replaced the (renamed) C:\cmdcons\keybfr.dll
by a copy of C:\winnt\system32\keybus.dll renamed to keybfr.dll.

It works, but there has to be a better way...

Thanks for the update. I suspect there is no better way, since the
Recovery Console is only rarely used. I suspect the selected keyboard
language is coded into the registry, and in your case it reads "keybfr.dll".
To make it a standard US keyboard you would have two options:
- Change the registry entry (not at all recommended)
- Change the keyboard driver (which you did)
