Recovery Console and SP2 question

Hi

Tried to install the Recovery Console after SP2 but I get an error message
to say that the version of Windows on my computer is newer than the version
on the XP Pro disk. How can I tell Windows to use the latest version to
create the Recovery Console?

Thanks

Hi Barry

I had to use a slipstreamed SP2 CD to install the Recovery Console. Any
earlier version CDs wouldn't install the RC.

Thanks Will. I'll try it that way.

New Question:

Since I had Recv. Cons. installed on the HD as a boot option, did the
SP2 network installer I used update that as well, or do I have to
reinstall the RC from a slipstreamed CD?

TIA

A good question for which I do not have the answer. I have decided to make
a slipstream CD anyway and have installed the Recovery Console from that and
everything tests out fine. If you are going to the trouble of making a
slipstreamed CD it would seem like only a little thing to remove the
existing RC and install a new one.

Just a thought
