recovery console and password

My computer refuses to start up to winxp pro, even through safe mode etc..
I inserted the widows cd and tried to start up, using the recovery console.
But it is asking for the administrators password. There has never be a
password, but even by just pressing return, it returns an invalid
administrators password!
Any ideas?

A workaround to that is described here, as I would imagine you have a
preinstalled WinXP system:
