Hello, I recieved the error "Windows XP could not start
because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM " to which I found the
page http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%
3Ben-us%3B307545 concerning a fix.
I followed this fix to the letter. However, part one in
regards to the recovery console does not prompt me for a
password as step 3 says it should. After I get into the
recovery console, every command comes up with "access is
denied".
How do I get past this, or is there another fix for the
config\system corruption/missing-ness? Thanks for reading,
