Recovering pst files from backup

I had to reload my OS due to corruptions. All ok and data files recovered
from backup. But the Outlook pst files I cant recover "you do not have
permission to access..." etc. It seems to be something to do with the files
(now on my HD after transfer from backup CD) being set to read only. I have
tried everything to remove this setting, but cant. HELP!!

Have you tried looking at the files with Windows Explorer, & looked at the
read-only flag under Properties?

I have now solved this.....
- Right click folder / file in question
- Select Security tab & click Advanced
- Click Owner on next (Permissions) tab
- Click on appropriate (your) name in name box, and tick box below "Replace
owner on subcontainers & objects"

- Apply / OK / OK

Then you can delete the read only settings..!
