Recovering lost e-mail after XP install!

I had a damaged Windows ME install (continuous error
message indicated that I needed to re-install Windows).
I tried to re-install Windows ME, but there was an error
that continuously cam up preventing the re-install. When
I could not complete the install, I decided to installed
Windows XP Home (using the upgrade version of the
product).

In the process of installing my new Windows XP, I lost my
Outlook Express mail folders - when I do a search they
are not there any longer.

On my D drive I have a file that was created as part of
either my original attempt to reinstall windows ME, or to
install Windows XP. The file is called W9XUNDO.
Bottom line is that I am hoping to recover my lost email
folders. Is there a chance that the W9XUNDO file may
contain those lost email folders? Is there some way to
extract the folders from that file? If I cannot directly
extract them, I am wondering if there is some way to roll
back to Windows ME, and if doing so will recover those
lost e-mail folders? Although the recovered Windows ME
OS may still be damaged, I could copy the mail folders so
that they are not lost. I do not see any option in the
Add/Remove Programs program in the control panel to do a
roll-back.

Thank you very much in advance

Thank you! Unfortunately I already looked for all dbx
files even turning on the "search hidden files" option.

After speaking to a support person on the outlook team at
Microsoft, seems that the only thing to be done is to do
a roll back of the OS and hope the files are in the
W9XUNDO file... I just don't know how to do the
rollback...
