Recovering from Sasser worm

My friend believes he was hit by the sasser worm. He
can't connect to the internet at all (He is "dial up")
After much effort, he finally got a recorded message
telling him what to do to re-connect to the internet, but
the message was too complex to follow. He would like to
get a print-out of this or similar instructions for re-
connecting. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Microsoft
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?

9FA42D14CC17&displaylang=en) and download the Sasser Worm
fix tool. If you have the sasser worm, this will remove
it. You can also try anti-virus programs like AVG FREE
Anti-Virus(www.grisoft.com) or programs like ad-aware
(www.lavasoft.com).

Your best bet is for you to download the 'symantec Sasser
worm fix tool'
(http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sasser.rem
oval.tool.html scroll down for download button) from the
internet, put it on a floppy for him/her and run it on
theyre computer. After that is finished, your friend
should be able to get online again, get them to go to
windows update and update his computer to protect himself
from the virus.
