Recovering Encrypted Data

How can I recover encrypted data using the recovery agent certificate. I
tried the usual method of backing the file up and then, tried to decrypt it
using the cipher command but it didn't work. Can you help me in this please?

Hi,

Logon with one of the accounts (e.g. administrator) and import recovery
agent private key into the profile (file that you will import would usually
have .pfx extension). Now restore the files and if you have right private
key imported (recovery agent) you will be able to decrypt the files.

It was about importing the .PFX file not the .cer... thanks alot!!
