1st thing, stop using the computer until you try data recovery tools.
Deleted files are not removed from the drive. The space allocated to
them is marked as available but the file data remains until overwritten.
The more you use the computer, the greater the chance of over writing
that data area.

Here are some data recovery tools:

Lastly, you could just restore the files from your current backup. If
you don't have one, this is a good lesson to learn. Always have a
current and complete backup.

If the pictures are valuable enough to be worth the effort:

FIRST: Shut down the computer IMMEDIATELY.

1. Buy a copy of Norton Utilities
2. Install Norton Utilities on some other computer
3. Remove the hard drive from your computer, and connect it to the other
computer either by
a) adding it as a second drive
b) buying an external USB/IDE enclosure, and installing it into that
4. Use Norton to find out if any of the pictures can be located and
recovered

OR

1. Obtain the services of one of the fine, but expensive, data recovery
companies (Google for "data recovery"). You send the the disk, and a few
hundred dollars, and they recover all the files that can be recovered.

Good luck!

When you are done (or you give up), start working on creating a backup
process.

FIRST STEP IS TO TURN OFF THE PC IMMEDIATLEY OTHERWISE THE AREA THE
FILES WERE IN WILL MOST LIKELY BE OVERWRITTEN BY INTERNET CACHE FILES
WHICH WILL RESULT IN NO CHANCE OF RECOVERY.

I recommend that you use DataRecoveryWizard to recover your data.
The software provides very useful functions for data recovery:
DeleteRecovery, FormatRecovery, AdvancedRecovery, RawRecovery.

This program is an efficient disk recovery software providing
you a complete answer to data loss.

First thing I recommend you download the demo version of
DataRecoveryWizard. (http://www.easeus.com/download.htm)

Run the program and select the recovery mode "DeletedRecovery",
or "FormatRecovery", or "AdvancedRecovery".
