Recovering a lost file.

If I receive the following message how do I recover this
file. This came up under my Windows Registry
Scan......Missing Microsoft Shared Files
The
key, "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDLLs
, "refers to a missing file, "C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Roxio Shared\.DLL Shared."

If you have quoted the path recorded in the registry correctly there should not be any stops before and at the end of DLL Shared. If you decide to alter the registry you should backup the registry first.

Thanks for responding. I hope you don't mind if I e-mail
you. I didn't do anything that I know of to alter the
registry. I just purchased the computer about 2 weeks
ago. Then this past weekend my Dad gave me a Norton
SystemWorks 2004 that he had purchased by mistake and
told me to use it instead of messing with returning it.
I installed in just like the booklet stated and then ran
the One Button Checkup that is suppose to locate any
problems and then fix them. That is where I got the
previous message that I was asking about. I hit the fix
button and it shows it fixes the problem until I run the
checkup again and then it shows up again. So do I just
need to ignore the problem or is it something that I need
to locate and reload. I'm not very good at all the
computer stuff and I appreciate any help you can offer.
I saw your name on several replies prior to getting mine
so you must be pretty famaliar with this stuff.
