Recovered Messages

Why does " recovered messages " keep appearing in my " local folders " ?
When I click on a " recovered message " , there is no message ; only a date
and a number - for instance 07-01-08 20-24-33 .

It means your Windows Mail message store is corrupted.
You can try the various repair functions in WMUtil:

If no improvement, upgrade to Windows Live Mail:

I have tried to follow the instructions - I can get to Advanced, and to
"Maintenance" but I cannot find "messages store"
I have Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) and I have not been able to
delete the folder - It keeping coming back everytime I open mail, with more
message listed

I do not understand what was suggested in the one reply posted
Can someone pleasae clarify these instructions again _ am continuing to have
a serious problem with hese messages listing.
Basically - how to I get beyond "Maintgenance" in the recommended procedures

Not sure what your exact issue is since you didn't state it - are you
"Engela" as well? Also don't know what instructions you are referring to
since you didn't copy and paste them in your post . . . . When you get to
"Maintenance", there's a "Store Folder" button, but all it does is display
your current message store and enable you to change it. Please provide the
details of your issue and stick to one thread (if you have another one
somewhere).
