Hey gang,

I am running Vista Ultimate 64 bit version.

I have noticed recently, in my storage folders in windows mail, I am getting
a folder " recovered messages", and it has a subfolder labeled with what
appears to be a date along with some other numbers, and then in a subfolder
in it, is usually a newsgroup name, along with a newsgroup message or two.

I am just curious, where is this coming from and why? Safe to just delete
the folder?

I did recently install Windows Live Mail as well, and have started to use it
some to view newsgroups, but am alternating between Windows Mail and Windows
Live Mail, trying to decide which I prefer for newsgroup reading ( but don't
run them at the same time).

Thanks for any feedback on this,

This condition is due to a damaged message store.
You can delete that "Recovered messages" folder, but it probably
will come back. If it does come back, and you want to continue
using Windows Mail, we can provide you with a procedure to reset it.

If it was me, I would simply abandon WM and use WLM exclusively.

Thanks Gary,

I was using both, trying to see which I would like better, I am starting to
lean more towards Windows Live Mail now anyway, so I won't worry with it.

Thanks for the response,
