Recover Replaced File

I recently saved a file (word doc - 2003 XP) to another location and accidently 'replaced existing file' with the old version of the file with the same name, as one was in My Docs and the other in My Briefcase. Is there any way to recover the earlier version of that same file? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
