I use WinXP. I would like to try other browsers (Foxfire, Opera, etc). Are
there problems with restoring IE if I don't like the alternates?

Peter.

Just leave IE installed and install any other browsers you wish. You don't
have to activate IE. You can put any browser shortcut on your desktop, that
you want, and use any one you want. Simply click that browsers shortcut to
activate it. Foxfire is an excellent choice if you want to learn how to
configure settings. It takes some time and a whole lot of reading. Have fun

Many thanks. The IE part sounds easy enough and the other sounds
interesting.

Peter.

If you need to you can use the "Set Program Access and Defaults" option
found in Control Panel->Add and Remove Programs to restore IE or to set
another browser as the default.
