recover icons on taskbar

Recently, when I minimize a window it disappears but no icon is displayed on
the task bar. I can right click on the task bar, select "task manager" & find
the process. double clicking on it restores the window so the process has NOT
been closed. How do I reinstate minimized icons?

Go to the following website, read the information at the top of the page. Scroll down to Line 240, left side. Click the link "Programs aren't minimized to the Taskbar" to download the .vbs file. Go to where you downloaded the file and double click the file to run the fix.

I just answered this. Please don't post the same question twice, just a few
minutes apart.

I'm sure you have noticed that at times there is a considerable lag time
between clicking "Post" and the actual post being available on the forum.
There have been cases on my own posts taking as long as ten minutes before
they finally show up. I have been tempted to re-post many times because of
this.

Give the guy a break.
