Recover files after a System Recovery?

I have a HP computer and while I was doing a System Restore the
computer shut off and wouldn't boot in any mode so I used the HP System

Recovery and reinstalled XP. The thing is I lost all my information,
is there any way to recover my lost files?

Hello,

It seems that you used the recovery CDs that were supplied by the computer manufacturer. In this
case, all your data was wiped off and was restored by the factory condition image stored on the CDs.
It is highly improbable that the lost data can be recovered. You might want to contact the
technical support of your computer manufacturer.

Greetings,

I suppose you using Active@ Undelete or Uneraser(DOS) tools to restore
lost files. These are imho truly powergul utils that never failed me
before. Thay were always able to bring back data, and thay also never
corrupted any of the restored info. that should really help you, give
it a try.
