Recover Deleted Items

Outlook XP on Exchange 5.5 we have deleted item retention
turned on. For most users this works great, but one has a
problem. They go to "deleted items" folder and then try
to recover deleted items and outlook crashes with this
msg "Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close"
There is nothing in the eventlog for Exchange to explain
whats causing this. Any help is appreciated!

Could be a corrupted add-in. Have you tried logging on as a different
person on the problematic workstation to see if the same crash happens?

I've logged onto the mail acct from my workstation,
deleted a msg and tried to recover it. Same error. The
users are on Wk2 terminal server so I know its not
workstation specific.

Any errors in the event logs on the Exchange server to indicate a problem
with the database?

Also, can you look in your workstation event logs and find the warning/error
that was posted when Outlook crashed. Maybe there is something in the text
that will give us a clue.
