When I attempt to recover a deleted folder using Outlook 2003 I get a error
message "Outlook was unable to recover some or all of the items in this
folder." We are connecting to Exchange 2003.

I can find solutions for this message if I was trying to recover a public
folder, but I am trying to recover a folder in my Inbox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This may depend upon the amount of time set on the server to allow Deleted
Item Recovery. It may not be set, it may be set at a few days, or even
longer. Do you know how many days the Exchange server is set to save Deleted
Items?

The retention time is 7 days. The user was cleaning up the mailbox
yesterday and accidently deleted too many folders.

I just tested it myself by deleting one of the folders I created for email.
It goes to my Deleted Items folder as a subfolder. There is a + sign beside
Deleted Items. If I expand it, the folder is there. Once I empty my Deleted
Items Folder, it goes into Recover Deleted Items. You can see it's a folder
by the icon. After deleting the folder, did the user empty their Deleted
Items folder or not?

The user emptied there deleted items folder. When they went in to recover
deleted items, all of their deleted mail folder showed. They were able to
recover all but 1 folder. When they attempt to recover the one folder, that
is when they get the message.

You may want to refer this to the Exchange group in this case since the issue
is at that end.
Can you find the newsgroup?

Yes. Thanks for your assistance
