Recover data after installing new operating system

How do you recover data that was in Windows 98 after you
have installed Windows 2000? I believe the drive has
already been reformatted.

Can't. Not even worth trying. The data is gone.

The data is not gone....

Go to download.com, even if you reformatted with an NTFS,
there's a chance that you might be able to recover some
files, but I would say you made a very serious wrong
assumption.

Go to Download.com search for handyrecovery. Should be
a free NTFS undelete utility.

Good luck. If the data is that important, you can send
your drive to a company that specializes in data loss
recovery.
