Recover a Word Doc not saved/computer restarted itself

Boy am I in deep (you know what!). I had finished a Word document an
even printed it back last fall and left it on the computer screen whe
I came back to it the next day, the computer had restarted itsel
(which it does ALOT!) and I went back to Word and it wasn't a recovere
file. I didn't think too much about it because I did have the printe
copy. OF WHICH, I HAVE NOW LOST!!!!!

Is there anyway to recover such documents?

HELP! I'm in great need of replacing this document!!!!!

Wow -- are you out of luck -- especially _months_ later! The rule i
"SAVE EARLY, SAVE OFTEN" ! I hope you've learned something from this

In Word go to Tools/Options/File Locations, to see where the auto sav
files are located on your computer that Word saves every few mins whe
you have a document opened. You will then have to unhide all the file
on your hard drive and then you can access this folder and search fo
the document you lost

Word does NOT autosave - it only saves autorecover information. There is a
workaround, though it will only help for future documents - see
