Recording performance?

Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices has a tab for setting playback
performance but does not have a tab for recording performance. How come?

I have two 24-bit, 96 KHz USB 2.0 sound cards on my system and I would like
to set the default recording rate high.

The external sound cards are the Soundblaster Audigy 2 NX and the Phillips
Aurilium PSC 805/17.

Under the Audio tab, Sound Recording is right underneath Sound Playback
in the same window. If you do not have that, you may need to reinstall your
soundcard drivers.

Hi, Byte.

Thanks for your prompt response. Yes, I see the Sound Recording button.
However, when you press the Advanced button there, you do not get a
Performance tab -- like you get with Sound Playback.

Also, I don't see any place to set the actual parameters: frequency and bit
depth.
