Recordable CD not detected

Okay..Trying to burn my first movie. Saved a few clips on story board then clicked to 'Save to CD' under Finish Movie. Receive msg ' a recordable CD was not found' . Am running a DVD + RW/+R on my new DELL 4600C. Don't understand why MM2 version 5.1 can't see my DVD burner. Am I missing some sort of setup? Appreciate any advice.

cheers,

On boot up press del (can be different) to get to BIOS,
select the Auto Detect option to ensure your drive is
correctly identified.

Is the drive being shown as available in My Computer i.e.
can you see the icon?

Try disconnecting drive, restart, switch off and then
reconnect and switch on see if Windows recognises it
- this might overcome the error.

Visit the manufacuters website - they may know about this
already from previous feedback and provide a patch.

cheers

Maybe it's just a setting. See the second of the 'Dated but Timeless Posts'
on the CD Burning > Intro page of my website.
