Record selection in datasheet view

I have a table that is displays summary data in datasheet view on a form. How
can I select a record from the datasheet and use it to open another form
showing the detail for that record?

I must be missing something...

Your description makes it sound like what's being displayed is summary data.
If so, how would you get back to details, since the table records are
summary info only?
