reconnecting network drives

T

Tim

I have a small home type network... two workstations running XP home, and a
main work station running XP Pro... an application I run requires network
drives mapped on the main workstation's root drive (C:\)... no problem... I
can do that, having set C to share, etc., and the application works fine
when the networking is active.. The two other workstations just won't
reconnect at log on... (when the workstations are powered up or otherwise
booted or restarted)... the main station could have been shut down or
restarted too, but I see that it's always up and running before booting the
others...

I wind up having to delete the mapped drives on the workstations and set
them up again... it always works and the application runs...

How do I get the mapped drives to reconnect reliably... please help and
thanks...
