reconfiguration to server

I have 4 workstations on XP pro connected
together as a workgroup.

I would like to make one of them a domain controller
and let the others join that domain.

I can't see a way to do this. I can't join a domain
that doesn't already exist.

XP Pro is not a server software - it can never be a domain
controler. It can only connect to one. You have to install
NT Server 4.0, 2000 Server or Server 2003 on one of the
computers. Create the domain on the new server and connect
the other computers to it.
