The majority of these forums use the free phpBB software (or phpBB Nuke
which is based closely on the original phpBB) and are all therefore
based around the same "framework" - differences in visual look-and-feel
come from applying themes (skins) or mods to the basic program.
See
http://www.phpbb.com/ for more information, themes, mods, etc. They
also have their own forum for troubleshooting or just help with phpBB.
message Ah very nice...thanks!
BTW...how come PHP sites always have that similar cool "look" about
them? I really like that.

| message | Does anyone have a webdesigner business forum? Not necessarily techie
| stuff...but talking about business and design aspects dealing with
wacky
| clients..etc? Not sure this ng is the right place to talk about this
but
| it seems that it'd be a good/interesting idear.

| | Joe, can you actually make a coupla bucks by being a reseller? Do
you
| think I should be billing my
| | clients for hosting rather than letting them pickup the tab
directly?
| Anyone doing this?
| |
| | I figure I can bring on and design one a month easily with my
current
| client database of over 3000
| | clients I figure I can weasel at least 100 webs outta them !

| | Thanks everyone! Sorry about this being slightly OT, but it's sorta

| | | | | Hi Rob,
| | |
| | | Two hosts that I currently use..and am very happy with both are:
| | |
| | |
http://www.infoquest.com $19.95 monthly for Superaccount.
| | |
| | |
http://www.webhost4life.com/ A few different plans, a few more
| features than
| | | Infoquest, Prices comparable to or less (but you need to pay a
year
| in
| | | advance..should you decide to cancel all unused time is refunded)
| | |
| | | Either of these would be a good choice. (Heck I won't even give
you
| a
| | | reseller ID unless you absolutely beg me to!

| | | | | | I thought it would be interesting for some personal & positive
| | | recommendations for WINDOWS Hosts.
| | |
| | | Jim B & Chris L have already weighed in with their opinions in the

| | |
| | | I'd be curious about any other hosts anyone out there has personal
| | | experience in using and are HAPPY with. I'm not necessarily
looking
| for
| | | cheap...just reasonable and good service is fine with me. I'm sure
| others
| | | would be interested in this as well.
| | |
| | | Please don't list the nightmare hosts, ok?
| | |
| | | I'm looking to switch 3 old webs and have 3 new ones coming online
| in the
| | | next month, with more to follow.
